One of the most eagerly awaited swimming events of the autumn returns to Rovereto: Amici Nuoto Riva, with the approval of the Italian Swimming Federation, organises the 44th International Enrico Meroni Trophy and the 43rd Amici Nuoto Riva Sprinters Cup. The meet is included in the European Aquatics calendar and is the longest-running swimming trophy in Trentino Alto Adige.
The competition will take place at the Rovereto Municipal Aquatic Centre (via Domenico Udine), in a 25-metre, 8-lane pool equipped with track-start blocks, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026. It is open to F.I.N. members and to foreign teams recognised by European Aquatics and World Aquatics, according to their regulations and the 2026/2027 age categories.
The full event programme mirrors that of the World Short Course Championships, including the 4x50 freestyle and 4x50 medley relays for women, men and mixed teams. New for 2026: the 50 butterfly, 50 breaststroke and 50 backstroke have been added for the Ragazzi category.
Entries close on Monday 12 October 2026.
Automatic timing with touch pads will be provided by the Venice Timekeepers (FICr), with large scoreboards at the pool. Natatoria will feature live results and live streaming of the event with TV-style graphics.
